It is unavoidable due to the rapid industrialization by many nations in the world that push the demand for fuel higher and higher by the day. Not only will it affect the livelihood of many people whose income are related closely to the consumption of fuel, but also many working class people as well. And their situation was compounded by non-existent or motionless wage rise due. We can only watch as the world race with each other for these products. But, to save ourselves and the environment, learn these tips here and become an expert fuel saver!

  • Let’s Start
  • Do not accelerate rapidly; accelerate gradually and gently. Accelerating your car rapidly will increase oil consumption 2 to 3 times higher than normal ignition. Give the engine a gradual acceleration. Sudden brakes or acceleration during driving too can increase fuel consumption by 30%! So, plan your trip ahead, a smooth journey gives you a pleasant drive all day long.

    • Start & Drive
    • Most modern cars nowadays are no longer using carburettors, warming your car engine up before driving, therefore is not needed. As you drive, the heat choker will warm the engine. So, it is advisable that you start to drive immediately after ignition as long as you as are not over speeding! After about 12 kilometres into your journey, the car will reach the correct operating temperature.

    • Problem with over filling. Over filling the vehicle fuel tank could be wasteful. It is like being forced to eat more food when you’re already full! Leakage and spillage could occur when your vehicle is hopping on uneven roads; it is very wasteful and hazardous to the environment.

  • Maintain a safe distance and avoid short sudden braking. Caution should be taken when driving behind another vehicle.   • There is in some instances, objects such as flags, unused canopy, carriers and many other kinds of equipment can be found on the roofs of vehicles. Unless you have the need to utilise it, take it off. These objects will increase the carrying burden on you car and therefore need more fuel power to operate the vehicle. It is also a speed hindrance to your vehicles.

    • Take caution that you do not constantly put your feet at the brake pedal as a rest pad. This will wear down the brake pads of your car and cause unnecessary pressure to the driver behind your vehicle!

    • Under inflated tyres run steadily but higher fuel consumption
    • Some vehicle owners would under-inflate their tyres so that they can enjoy a smoother drive. But, the truth is under-inflated tyres would increase fuel consumption because of less gripping power on the roads due to low pressure. And very often, large tyres with a large tread protector will not favour in fuel economy because these tyres requires a large gripping area and an expanded friction that becomes a burden on the engine to increase power. The huge consumption of fuel can be felt during constant short running and idling of the vehicle (e.g. traffic jams).

  • Park your car under the shades. Avoid parking your vehicle under direct sunlight because of high insulation. Open the doors to let in cooler air to ventilate your car interior. Avoid driving under hot condition because the air conditioning system will take a much longer time to release cool air flow and this will cause higher fuel consumption.

  • Do not neglect your vehicle maintenance
  • Maintenance should be carried out after every 5000 or 10000 kilometres. Periodical checks on the depot, oil filter, transmission fluid, batteries, tyres, CV joints and etc. will help you to maintain optimum condition for your vehicle. Tyre pressure should be checked for the correct pressure as a properly inflated tyre can give your vehicle a 3.3 percent extra mileage. Under-inflated tyres consume more fuel; periodical pressure checks will not only give you extra driving protection but also better fuel management because every cubic pressure is equal to 0.4 percent increase in fuel consumption. But caution should be taken too as to not over-inflate the tyres. As over-inflated tyres would swell pressure inside the tyre and the heat could cause tyre leakage and breakage.

  • Carbon would build up in the engine and around the spark plugs area significantly during idling position in traffic jams. This built up deposits would lower combustion efficiency, thus will make the engine use more fuel to start or ignite. Clean spark plugs would ignite and burn fuel correctly in the initial ignition and helps to avoid wastage of precious fuel.

  • Use less electrical appliances
  • All air conditioning, headlights, alarm system, stroboscope and etc. draw energy from the car generator which in turn draws energy from the engine that burns fuel! So, any other electrical appliances like charger, LCD monitor, shaver, expanded alarm or sound system would burden the generator. When more energy is needed, the generator would extract more pressure to timing belts to produce more energy and this will certainly increase fuel consumption.

  • Don’t burden vehicle with unnecessary weight
  • Don’t burden your vehicle with heavy objects that don’t belong in it. Things such as a heavy toolbox, metals, scraps and etc. should be taken out. Every 40 – 50 kilograms of excess weight is equal to carrying another passenger. This will in turn translate into 2 – 3 percent higher fuel consumption.

  • Over modification won’t save fuel!
  • There are a lot vehicle modification shops who advise vehicle owners to change the catalyst converter. However, this kind of modification would only pressure the exhaust pipe to deliver more power; some oversized exhaust system would need more fuel for this purpose. The 3 Systems in i-CHARGE help your car working at its optimum condition. Voltage Stabilizer System (VSS) is designed to maintain a stable working voltage over all electronic circuits and devices in your car. When there is an extra sudden load on your vehicle, like acceleration or turning on air-condition, it will prevent that load drain away any current from another electronic circuit in your car and all electrical parts will be working at their optimum conditions. Battery Doctor System (BDS) is a new great circuit that helps all car owners to check their batteries operating voltage at 1 touch without opening cars’ engine hood. Even lady drivers can use this system to monitor car battery condition easily. Interference Reducer System (IRS) is incorporated to reduce noise interference in your car so to eliminate unwanted electrical signal from one device to another. 4. How long can my i-CHARGE last?
Normally all electronic circuit devices expected average life-span is 5 years, and so is our estimation for i-CHARGE. Handle with extra care can prolong the life-span of i-CHARGE up to 10 years.

5. How would I know i-CHARGE stops working?
By theory, i-CHARGE should be working all the time unless damage accidentally. You can check anytime by pressing Battery Doctor Button on the side panel which you should see LED blinking, this indicates i-CHARGE is working. If LED does not on, does not mean i-CHARGE is not working, but we advise you to send the i-CHARGE to company for checking. If it is still under warranty period, company will repair or replace new one at no cost to you.

6. When Battery Doctor Button is pressed and if I see LED show RED LED ON or GREEN LED ON?
It is the smartest design that asks the LED on i-CHARGE to show you more battery information of your car. 2 different LED stages to tell you:
a) Green LED (ON): Normal voltage, battery condition – good.
b) Red LED (ON): Abnormal voltage, check battery replacement if necessary.

7. How long does i-CHARGE start working after I first install?
By theory, in a few seconds, it will work on your car once you install i-CHARGE.

8. When i-CHARGE stops working, will it affect or damage my car?
No, it won’t as i-CHARGE is an add-on device that connected only over the car battery through cigar-lighter socket. So it will work like a body-guard to your car, and when it stops working, your car will get back to its original working condition and nothing is affected, but of course, you will loose the benefits from i-CHARGE. Get a new one from your local nearest distributor if you need it, and enjoy the benefits again.

9. If I repeatedly remove and install i-CHARGE from one car to another, will this action affect its function on my car?
In theory, it should not, as long as you carefully plug and unplug it from your car. But our best advice is to keep a unit attach to only 1 car as repeat action of removing i-CHARGE may result in wear and tare of the connectors both inside your car and also on i-CHARGE. So if you think i-CHARGE is a good item, you should use a few more units on your different cars instead of constantly removing it from one car to another, it may shorten the life-span of i-CHARGE at your own risk.

10. If I stop using i-CHARGE for a while and reuse it again, will it damage my car?
No, it won’t, as it is the same as you stop using i-CHARGE and your car will get back to its original unhealthy condition. You will regain its benefit once you install it again.

11. Is it safe to use i-CHARGE for my cars?
Yes, it is very safe to use i-CHARGE as it is powered by DC (Direct Current) from your car's battery, so it contains no radio-active or magnetic waves at all. Only device run by AC (Alternating Current), like your house electronic devices will emit harmful waves to human body. Besides, installing i-CHARGE does not change any parts in your car, so it won't damage anything in your car.

12. Can I use i-CHARGE on motorcycle?
Yes, you can, and it will work exactly as well as used in a car. But most of the motorcycle does not has a cigar-lighter socket, and you need to look for a professional to wire and install an external cigar-lighter socket, then you can install i-CHARGE on it. You can also consult company for more options.

13. How i-CHARGE will help on fuel saving?
Our car fuel economy is very dependent on engine ignition. And ignition is very dependent on ignition voltage. All car mechanics or professionals know that ignition voltage is about 12000-14000 volts. We don't want to carry such a big coil in our car, so we use induction energy to generate this high voltage from our battery voltage (12V), so we get safe energy. But a dark side of it is, if there is change of 0.1V in battery voltage, by a factoring of 1000 times in voltage step up will results in 100V change of spark plug voltage. So it will affect engine combustion efficiency, mainly contribute to incomplete engine combustion. Incomplete combustion will result in wastage of fuel economy. i-CHARGE main function is to stabilize your battery voltage, store and release energy when there is a change in electrical voltage, hence maintain stable operating battery voltage and induced ignition voltage. 14. Will i-CHARGE shorten my battery life?

15. If I do not remove i-CHARGE from my car when I turn off my car engine, will it affect my battery?
i-CHARGE does need a minimal electrical energy to work, but so small that is insignificant compare to your battery capacity. So you no need to unplug it from your car when your car is regularly in use. Some car has an automatic cut off electrical supply to the cigar-lighter socket when engine is off to make it safer. As a better advice, if you intend to park your car for weeks or months, you should disconnect the battery regardless if you are using i-CHARGE or not, as other electrical devices in your car will drain energy from your battery and make your battery flat even faster as compare to i-CHARGE. For motorcycle user, our advice is to remove it from the cigar-lighter socket to prevent theft and also draining of battery is more obvious on motorcycle, as motorcycle has a very small battery capacity compare to car, so it has a higher risk of flat battery, so it is better to remove i-CHARGE when you are using it on motorcycle.

When i-CHARGE is in operation, the voltage stabilization from its VSS circuit provide extra current and maintain stable voltage to all the electronic devices in your car. When you remove i-CHARGE out of sudden, there is a risk that sudden voltage dropped on some electronic devices, and some of them are very sensitive to voltage changes, this may results in damage or malfunction of the electronic devices. This is same as you unplug the power source of your computer and will result in program malfunction. We are glad to say that we foresee this problem and have taken extra care on it, by putting 2 fuses at the plug and inside circuit of i-CHARGE, so you have double protection on it. Besides, company will provide an extra fuse for plug-socket with each i-CHARGE purchased. Should you encounter any fuse damage problem, you are advised to send the i-CHARGE back to company for inspection. Most important, if the voltage dropping are not extreme, our VSS system will also stabilize itself if you really do unplug the i-CHARGE accidentally, which further minimize damage to your car and i-CAHRGE. But to ensure a longer life-span of i-CHARGE or any other electronic devices, we will still advise you try not to plug/unplug while driving.
